Five fans who abused Vinicius receive sentencing

Back in December 2022, during the Real Madrid vs. Valladolid match, Vinicius was subjected to abusive chants. The case has now reached the courts.
Details: According to an official statement on Real Madrid’s website, five fans who made racist remarks have been sentenced by a Valladolid court. They were found guilty of committing five hate crimes. Each has been handed a one-year prison sentence.
In addition, they are banned from teaching and from working in the fields of education, sports, and leisure for four years. Fines ranging from €1,080 to €1,620 have also been imposed.
Quote: “The execution of the prison sentences has been suspended because the accused apologized and expressed remorse in a letter addressed to Vinicius Junior, and they will not attend football stadiums hosting official sporting events for three years,” Real Madrid’s statement reads.
It’s worth noting that this season hasn’t been the most successful for Vinicius and Real Madrid as a whole. The Brazilian netted just 20 goals and provided 16 assists across 50 matches in all competitions.
Reminder: Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior starred in a vibrant new ad for his personalized Nike boots — The Vini Jr. Mercurial Vapor. The commercial was published on Nike’s official Instagram page.
