Five candidates shortlisted for the Mali head coach position
The Malian Football Federation is looking for a coach to succeed Tom Saintfiet.
A call for applications was issued the day after Saintfiet’s departure. According to the governing body of Malian football, 28 applications were received and reviewed. Of these, five have been shortlisted.
They are Florent Ibenge from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mohamed Magassouba from Mali, Badou Zaki from Morocco, and António Conceição and Anthony Da Silva from Portugal. Their profiles best meet the selection criteria, the Malian Football Federation has stated.
The five shortlisted candidates will have an interview with the Malian Football Federation’s Commission. Following these interviews, the best candidate will be put forward to the Federation’s Executive Committee for a final decision.
