Fiston Mayele announces his departure from Pyramids FC
The Congolese international striker is set to take on a new challenge.
Fiston Mayele has officially left Pyramids FC in Egypt. Although his contract expired on 30 June, the Democratic Republic of the Congo international did not renew it. In a statement posted on social media on Wednesday 29 July, Fiston Mayele confirmed his departure from the Egyptian club.
“We have written a wonderful chapter in history together, with trophies, emotions and unforgettable moments. Today, it is time for me to take on a new challenge. I leave this club with great gratitude and respect. I wish you all the very best for the future. Thank you for everything. ”
With Pyramids FC, Fiston Mayele won several major trophies, including the CAF Champions League, the CAF Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup. He also finished as top scorer in the CAF Champions League with six goals, as well as in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup with three goals.
Although his new destination has not yet been officially announced, Fiston Mayele is reportedly set to join Al Ahly Tripoli in Libya.
