First summer transfer? Mhleli Mabuza trains with Kaizer Chiefs

A potential new signing has been spotted at the Kaizer Chiefs training camp. The focus is on 24-year-old defender Mhleli Mabuza, who is already working with the squad ahead of the upcoming season.
According to iDiski Times, the move could happen on a free transfer. The player recently left Portuguese fourth-division club Louletano. After first-choice right-back Reeve Frosler suffered an injury and his replacement Dillon Solomons failed to impress, Kaizer Chiefs have been actively searching for reinforcements on the defensive flank—and Mabuza now appears to be their top candidate.
It’s worth noting that the South African is capable of playing both as a right-back and as a wide midfielder or even winger. Thanks to his versatility, he was recently named the best right-back in the Portuguese league.
