First run after surgery: Mauro Icardi showcases his recovery from cruciate ligament injury
Galatasaray footballer Mauro Icardi has been absent from the field since November last year, following a cruciate ligament injury. Now, several months later, he has finally begun running, as he shared on his Instagram page.
Mauro posted a video showing him jogging on the green turf. He captioned it with the words, "April 1, 2025. First run 4 months after surgery."

It is expected that Icardi will be able to return to full training only by the beginning of summer. Thus, he won't be able to play for his club this season and will instead prepare for the start of the next one.
Before the injury, Icardi had played 14 matches for Galatasaray in all competitions, scoring 6 goals and providing 2 assists.

While the rehabilitation process is ongoing, Icardi is also dealing with personal issues—he is attempting to divorce his wife Wanda Nara. The procedure is accompanied by regular scandals and disputes between the former couple as they contest custody of their children, finances, and property.
