First match without Ten Hag. Manchester United scored five goals against Leicester
Manchester United played their first match after Erik ten Hag's dismissal, facing Leicester in the EFL Cup.
The hosts took the lead as early as the 15th minute thanks to a goal from Casemiro. United maintained pressure on the "Foxes" in the first half, scoring four goals before halftime. Casemiro scored again, with Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes also finding the net.
After the break, the Portuguese midfielder secured a brace, scoring United's fifth goal. However, United’s defense was not entirely solid, as Leicester managed to score twice. Despite this, Manchester delivered an impressive performance, winning their first match after Ten Hag's departure.
Additionally, the "Red Devils" advanced past Leicester in the fourth round of the EFL Cup and moved on to the next round.
