First Asllani, then Diomande! Leipzig unveils its cunning plan
RB Leipzig will not let Diomande go until they have reinforced their own attack.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, RB Leipzig have completed the signing of new striker Fisnik Asllani from Hoffenheim in a deal worth €30 million. The 23-year-old forward already has his medical booked. The Bulls’ plan was clear from the start: sign two or three players and finalize at least one transfer before giving Yan Diomande the green light for a medical at Real Madrid.
Asllani chose Leipzig despite interest from Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, as his contract with Hoffenheim included a €29 million release clause. Now that the first step of the plan has been completed, an avalanche is expected: Real Madrid have already agreed with Leipzig on Diomande’s transfer for up to €140 million, and an official announcement could come within hours.
Diomande will become the most expensive sale in Leipzig’s history, surpassing the €90 million Manchester City paid for Josko Gvardiol in 2023.
Reminder: Moment of truth! Real Madrid pushes to sign RB Leipzig's young star
