Finidi Wants More as Rivers United Settle for Ndola Draw

Rivers United coach Finidi George admitted his side needed more than a draw after a goalless CAF Champions League Group A clash with Zambia’s Power Dynamos in Ndola. The result extended their wait for a first win but earned a valuable away point.

Finidi said, “It's not the result that we wanted… it was a difficult game for us.” He explained that Rivers tried to contain Dynamos early, but “in the second half, they pushed us back… We only defended.”

The coach linked the frustration to their late loss against RS Berkane, noting, “We're not totally satisfied… In the last one minute… we conceded two goals.”

Looking ahead to the return leg in Uyo, he stressed, “We know we are stronger at home.” Finidi added young players are learning and the team “need to do more.”
