Finidi George Reflects on Rivers United’s 0–0 Away Draw with Power Dynamos
Rivers United head coach, Finidi George, has shared his thoughts following his team’s goalless draw with Zambia’s Power Dynamos in their latest continental outing.
The Pride of Rivers were held to a 0–0 stalemate by the Zambian champions at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Ndola, on Saturday night. While the result earned Rivers United a valuable point on the road, Finidi admitted afterward that his feelings about the outcome were mixed.
Speaking during his post-match press conference, the former Super Eagles winger explained that the draw would have felt much more satisfying if Rivers United had secured all three points in their previous fixture against RS Berkane.
“Not totally satisfied. This draw would have been a good result for us if we had won the game against RS Berkane.
“We knew how we lost that game in the last minute of additional time when we conceded two goals. If we had won that game, this draw today would have been a perfect result for us because we are going back home to face the same team, and we know we are strong at home.”
