Financial expert believes Chelsea and Aston Villa could be penalized by UEFA
UEFA has started to closely monitor compliance with financial fair play, and an expert has named two clubs that might face penalties.
Details: According to Stefan Borson for Football Insider, Aston Villa and Chelsea are among the contenders likely to fail UEFA's expenditure control test.
Quote: "Potentially, they could also fail the sustainability test. It's not too alarming as the penalty would be relatively small. However, you must understand that the more you fail, the more problems will arise," Borson stated.
In their latest match, Chelsea defeated Leicester 1-0, but the Blues experienced an unusual situation. Cole Palmer approached the penalty spot for the 18th time in his career. Unfortunately for Palmer, his shot was saved by Leicester's goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.
Reminder: Palmer failed to improve his Premier League record, as he had previously surpassed Yaya Toure in the number of penalties scored.
