In the 20th round of the English Premier League, Wolverhampton hosted West Ham at home. Rob Edwards' men secured a resounding victory, putting an end to a lengthy winless streak.
The Wolves struck all three goals in the first half, with Arias, Hwang Hee-chan, and Mané finding the net. This triumph marked the club's first win in the current Premier League season. In their previous 19 matches, the Wolves managed to collect just three points, and it was a draw against Manchester United last time out that finally snapped a demoralizing 12-game losing run across all competitions.
Interestingly, Wolverhampton's previous victory dated back to September 23 in the English League Cup. In the Premier League, they hadn't tasted victory since April 26, when they defeated Leicester at home in round 34 of last season.
Wolverhampton now have 6 points to their name, which still keeps them rooted to the bottom of the table. The gap to the safety of 17th place remains a daunting 12 points.
