Real Madrid have finally received some long-awaited good news from the treatment room.

Details: Brazilian centre-back Éder Militão has returned to group training with Real Madrid as he takes another major step towards making his comeback. The defender joined his teammates in the first training session of the week and took part in the running work with the group.

Militão had been working on an individual recovery programme for several months after suffering a serious injury in April. The Brazilian sustained a rupture of the proximal biceps femoris tendon, an issue that required surgery and ruled him out for the closing stages of last season.

Throughout September, the centre-back continued his rehabilitation separately from the main squad. His return to group work is therefore an important milestone, although Real Madrid have not yet announced a specific date for his return to competitive action.

It is worth noting that Real Madrid's next match after the international break is scheduled for October 10, when José Mourinho's side will host Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabéu.
