Finally defeated! Viral video shows fan hugging Messi after dodging his bodyguard
Leo Messi became the star of a viral video after a fan managed to run onto the field and embrace him—while hilariously evading his personal bodyguard, Yassine Chueko.
The footage shows the fan slipping on the pitch and accidentally knocking Chueko off balance, which gives him just enough time to reach Messi for a hug. The bodyguard quickly recovers and pulls the fan away from the Argentine superstar, but the moment had already been captured.
Social media erupted with laughter, with many joking that Messi’s famous bodyguard had finally been defeated, as this was the first time someone had successfully bypassed him to reach the football icon.
Chueko, a former Marine and U.S. soldier who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, is highly trained in boxing, martial arts, and taekwondo. He even has experience in MMA fights. He was personally hired by David Beckham to ensure Messi’s safety amid the overwhelming attention following his move to Inter Miami.
