Decisive week ahead for Manchester United.

Details: According to The Athletic, this week the Manchester United executive committee will hold a meeting where a decision could be made regarding a contract extension for the club’s 44-year-old head coach, Michael Carrick.

It is reported that Carrick’s candidacy has received strong support from the club’s top brass, and a letter of recommendation in his favor has been submitted to the executive committee.

Despite the fact that Manchester United’s management is currently considering several candidates for the head coach position, Carrick is regarded as the clear front-runner for the job.

Michael Carrick took charge of Manchester United in January this year after Ruben Amorim stepped down. Carrick has overseen 15 matches at the helm of the Red Devils, recording 10 victories, 3 draws, and just 2 defeats.
