Final chord. India fall to Thailand ahead of Asian Cup qualifiers

The Indian national team continues its preparations for the third round of the Asian Cup qualifiers. In June, the Blue Tigers are set to play just one match—against Hong Kong—and filled the break with a friendly fixture.
Details: Manolo Márquez's side faced Thailand away and suffered a 0-2 defeat. The first goal came as early as the eighth minute, courtesy of Ben Davis, while in the second half, Poramet Arjvirai doubled the hosts' lead. No more goals were scored in the match.
Reminder: In recent times, the Indian team has rarely delighted its fans with victories. Since November 16, 2023, when the Blue Tigers beat Kuwait 1-0 in World Cup qualifying, the team has played 15 matches and managed to win just once. There have been five draws and ten defeats in that span.
The match against Hong Kong will take place on June 10 at 14:00 Central European Time. The previous Asian Cup qualifier ended in a goalless draw with Bangladesh.
