On Saturday, August 3, at the Paris Olympics, the men's artistic gymnastics floor exercise finals took place.

The gold medal was won by gymnast Carlos Edriel Yulo from the Philippines. With a score of 15.000, he surpassed Israeli athlete Artem Dolgopyat (14.966) and British representative Jake Jarman (14.933), who completed the top three.

This is the first gold medal for the Philippines at this Olympics and the second in the country's history.

Upon learning his result, Yulo couldn't hold back and cried right on the air.

Yulo became the first Filipino male to win a gold medal at the Games. Previously, weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz won gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
