Issues with interest in the reformed Club World Cup have led to a lack of funds, which will affect the prize money for participating clubs.

Details: According to Marca, the famous 50 million euros for each team will have to be forgotten, as even a profit of two billion euros, let alone the previously declared four billion, is unattainable. The winner will receive around 100 million euros, but the average amount will be much lower. The lion's share of the entire fund will come from the deal with DAZN, which has become the tournament's broadcaster, and this will bring in one billion euros.

Also notable is the fact that the prize money won't be distributed equally among all the clubs. European clubs will take 70% of the fund, with the remaining 30% shared among the others.

Reminder: The draw for the group stage of the Club World Cup will take place on December 5. We previously reported where and when to watch the draw procedure.
