FIFA to compensate Bayern for Davies' injury while on Canada duty

In the spring, Alphonso Davies joined the Canadian national team, but picked up an injury during one of the matches. Bayern were not pleased and reached out to both the Canadian side and FIFA.
Details: According to Bayern’s official channels, the Munich club held a meeting with representatives of the Canadian Football Association. During the talks, they made it clear that the club believes the association did not fully meet its obligations to protect Davies. Bayern noted that this concern applies to other associations as well.
It also became known that FIFA will pay Bayern compensation for the player's injury, though the exact amount has not been disclosed. The organization intends to discuss with other football associations the need to pay greater attention to player safety.
Reminder: Bayern have officially unveiled German centre-back Jonathan Tah. The defender joined Bayern Munich as a free agent, signing a contract until the summer of 2029.
