FIFA still undecided on prize money for Club World Cup participants

As December approaches, when the draw ceremony for the Club World Cup will take place, many details have been finalized, including participating teams and stadiums. However, one significant detail remains unknown: the prize money teams can expect from the tournament.

Details: According to Calcio di Finanza, funds for the Club World Cup will come from sponsorship deals. However, the tournament regulations do not specify how the money will be distributed among the teams. The official document states that financial arrangements regarding prize pools for participating clubs, as well as solidarity payments for non-participating clubs, will be communicated to participants in a tournament circular.

Reminder: Earlier, La Liga president Javier Tebas called on FIFA president Gianni Infantino to cancel the Club World Cup, arguing that sponsors are reluctant to invest in the tournament. He added that using organizational funds for a tournament criticized by players and coaches would be an unwise decision.
