Egyptian giants Zamalek SC have been hit with a new three-window transfer ban by FIFA, the world football governing body confirmed on Thursday, further deepening the club’s ongoing administrative crisis.

The latest suspension will come into force from the next summer transfer window and will span three consecutive registration periods. With this ruling, the total number of active transfer bans currently hanging over the Cairo-based club has now risen to 11, placing severe restrictions on their ability to strengthen the squad.

According to reports, the fresh sanction stems from a complaint lodged by Senegalese striker Ibrahim Ndiaye. Ndiaye joined Zamalek from Swiss outfit FC Luzern in the summer of 2022, but later took the matter to FIFA after the club allegedly failed to settle outstanding financial obligations following the termination of his contract in 2024.
