FIFA has punished three members of Egypt’s team following the incidents in their World Cup clash with Argentina.

ead coach Hossam Hassan and team director Ibrahim Hassan have each received three-match suspensions, while Mostafa Zico has been handed a five-match ban.

The sanctions follow Egypt’s elimination from the tournament in the Round of 16. Hossam Hassan, 60, was sanctioned after blaming refereeing errors for his country’s exit, while Zico was punished for insulting the referee during a post-match interview.

Ibrahim Hassan, Hossam’s twin brother and Egypt’s national team director, was also handed a three-match suspension.

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) confirmed the disciplinary decisions in an official statement.

“The decisions include the suspension of Hossam Hassan and Ibrahim Hassan for three matches each, while Ziko has been suspended for five matches,” the EFA said.
