There are still eight months until the World Cup final draw, but FIFA is already starting to plan the event. There are certain plans in place, although they might change.

Details: On paper, according to The Athletic, Las Vegas remains the primary option, where the 1994 World Cup final draw took place. This location is favored by several host city officials who hope to attract potential commercial partners to the Sin City before and after the draw.

However, FIFA has also considered holding the draw in Washington, D.C., to simplify attendance for U.S. President Donald Trump. There were even ideas to conduct it in a significantly reduced format at the White House or other potential venues in the District of Columbia.

But, Trump could attend the draw in Las Vegas or address the participants via video message, as he did during the Club World Cup draw. The 42nd U.S. President Bill Clinton also did the same during the 1994 World Cup draw.

Reminder: A financial analysis of the 2026 World Cup was released earlier, and according to it, the tournament could contribute up to $40.9 billion to the global economy.
