Jalal Jiyed has been appointed by FIFA to take charge of the 2026 World Cup Group E opener between Germany and Curaçao.

The highly anticipated fixture will be played on Sunday, June 14 at NRG Stadium, with both sides beginning their World Cup campaign in what is expected to be an important opening encounter.
