FIFA Matchday – Friendly: Ghana Loses to Japan 2-0

Luck was not on Ghana's side this Friday in their friendly against Japan. Ghana missed their start to their Asian tour, losing 2-0 to Japan on FIFA Matchday.

The Blue Samurai quickly took the lead thanks to a goal from Takumi Minamino in the 16th minute, setting the tone for a match largely controlled by the hosts.

Despite Ghana's efforts to equalize, it was ultimately Japan who doubled their lead on the hour mark.

Ritsu Doan sealed the match in the 60th minute, confirming Japan's superiority and inflicting a defeat on the Black Stars in their first match in Asia.

Ghana's second friendly match will take place on November 18 against South Korea.
