FIFA lowers ticket prices for 2026 World Cup matches
In just half a year, the 2026 World Cup will kick off, set to be hosted across three countries. The final tournament draw has already taken place and ticket sales have begun, although the initial prices proved to be extremely high.
Details: According to The Athletic, FIFA have decided to reduce ticket prices for World Cup matches. The organization took this step after witnessing a negative reaction from fans. From now on, supporters of teams participating in the World Cup will have access to around 1,000 tickets per match, priced from 60 dollars.
We previously reported that the Croatian Football Federation published a price list for tickets to the 2026 World Cup on its official website. The price for Croatia’s opening match against England was set at 265 dollars, which is eight times higher than ticket prices at Euro 2024.
A scandal also erupted when FIFA decided to sell parking passes for cars at exorbitant prices, further fueling frustration among fans.
Reminder: All groups for the 2026 World Cup have already been formed, and it is now known who will face whom at the tournament.
