On Friday, 12 December, during the FIA Awards ceremony, it was announced that a new agreement had been signed with Formula 1.

Details: Formula 1 announced that the FIA and all 11 F1 teams have signed the 2026 Concorde Governance Agreement. The contract ensures that the sport’s key stakeholders will be fully aligned on core commercial and governance structures for the next five years.

Meanwhile, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has stated that the team is preparing to reduce the number of constructors supplied with its power units.

Reminder: The final Grand Prix of the 2025 Formula 1 season took place at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. The world champion was crowned after the race, with three drivers still in contention for the title heading into the finale.
