The Ferrari team has encountered unexpected setbacks during the Monaco race weekend. Scuderia boss Frédéric Vasseur has been hospitalized and will miss the Monaco Grand Prix qualifying session.

The news was officially confirmed by Ferrari’s press service. The team stated that the 58-year-old executive is under medical supervision at a local healthcare facility.

“Fred Vasseur will not be present at the track today. Following a medical check, he will remain under observation in a local medical facility. No further medical information will be provided,” Ferrari’s statement said.

Ferrari has not disclosed the nature of the team principal’s health issues, requesting that his right to privacy be respected. The team also wished Vasseur a swift recovery and expressed hope for his quick return to work.
