Ferran Torres is furious with Barcelona. Will he stay?
Ferran Torres is no longer willing to tolerate being undervalued at Barcelona.
Details: According to Goal, the Spanish forward was extremely dissatisfied with the new contract offer from the Catalan club. He was unhappy with both the financial terms and the proposed role in the squad.
Ferran is demanding a significant salary increase and guarantees of regular playing time. The striker believes that Barcelona does not properly value his contribution to the team’s results.
With negotiations collapsing, PSG has emerged as the main contender for the player. The Parisians have already made Torres a more lucrative offer and are ready to give him a key role in Luis Enrique’s squad.
Reports suggest that the player is ready to accept the offer from the French giants. He is expected to make his final decision after his vacation, but Paris is currently considered the most likely next stop in his career.
Barcelona also understands they risk losing him for free after his contract expires in the summer of 2027. The club’s sporting director, Deco, is prepared to approve a transfer for around €50 million.
It’s worth noting that last season Ferran Torres played 49 matches for Barcelona and scored 21 goals. In total, he has 65 goals in 207 appearances for the Catalan club.
Reminder: Changed their minds? Barcelona want to keep their forward.
