FC Porto want to keep Seko Fofana
The player is returning to Rennes at the end of his loan spell
The Ivory Coast international has impressed the Portuguese club, who are keen to sign him on a permanent basis.
Having joined FC Porto last winter from Rennes, Seko Fofana has had a significant impact on the Portuguese club’s season. The Ivorian midfielder has distinguished himself with three goals and one assist in 12 league appearances.
He contributed to Porto’s victory in the 2025–2026 Liga Portugal. These performances have convinced the FC Porto management, who wish to keep him. According to L'Equipe, the Portuguese club is exploring the feasibility of a permanent transfer for the Ivorian international.
However, Seko Fofana is under contract with Rennes until 2029.
