Some financial details also need clarification, which is why the transfer is taking longer than expected. However, the deal itself is not under threat—there is agreement between all parties involved.
The structure of the transfer remains unchanged: a loan with an option to buy for Monaco, as well as a buy-back clause for Barcelona should Fati regain his form on the Côte d'Azur and the Catalan club wish to bring him back to Camp Nou.
Reminder: Earlier, Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal refused to even hypothetically consider a move to Real Madrid.
