Legendary former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel and his son Kasper melted hearts during a live broadcast when they shared an emotional hug after a Champions League match interview, reports Daily Mail.
The touching moment occurred on CBS Sports after Kasper kept a clean sheet in Celtic’s Champions League match against Dinamo Zagreb. Peter, serving as a post-match interviewer, had the unique task of interviewing his own son.
"Kasper, I do want you to know how much we love your dad. He's such an important part of the show. We have huge repspect for him and he's just a wonderful person," said presenter Kate Scott.
Encouraged by the studio hosts, the Danish father and son embraced, drawing applause and admiration from fellow panelists Jamie Carragher, Thierry Henry, and Kate Scott.
With his strong performance, Kasper Schmeichel helped Celtic secure a valuable point against the Croatian side.
