Father of former Liverpool forward Carvalho publicly urged son to leave Brentford
Last summer, winger Fabio Carvalho left Liverpool for Brentford, but his start at the London club has been anything but smooth. Now, the player's father has decided to intervene.
Details: Over the weekend, Brentford played to a 0-0 draw against Everton, and Carvalho spent the entire match on the bench. In response, the father took to the comments section under Brentford's Instagram post about the match and wrote the following:
"Son, you need to leave this club."
In 11 Premier League matches for Brentford, Fabio Carvalho has scored 1 goal and provided 1 assist. The Portuguese player has only started 2 of those matches.
Brentford paid Liverpool €18 million for Carvalho's transfer this summer. Last season, he played on loan for Hull City.
Reminder: It was previously reported that Brentford has shown interest in Celtic winger Nicolas Kühn.
