Farewell! Official: one of the Premier League’s top defenders leaves the club
Senesi is set to find a new club.
Details: Today, the official X (formerly Twitter) page of English side Bournemouth announced that 29-year-old Argentine centre-back Marcos Senesi will leave the club at the end of the season as a free agent.
Senesi’s contract with Bournemouth expires this summer, and the Cherries’ management were unable to reach an agreement on an extension.
Senesi joined Bournemouth in 2022 from Feyenoord for €15 million and quickly established himself as one of the team’s leaders. He has made 126 appearances for the Cherries, scoring 6 goals and providing 10 assists.
The Matchweek 37 clash against Manchester City will be Senesi’s final home game in a Bournemouth shirt.
Marcos Senesi’s market value is estimated at €22 million by Transfermarkt.
