The 38th round Premier League clash between Liverpool and Brentford was special for several reasons. On this night, Mohamed Salah reached a historic milestone and played his final match at Anfield in the Merseyside club's shirt.
The Egyptian forward made his 300th Premier League appearance, becoming only the second African player ever to reach this landmark. Previously, only former defender Kolo Touré had managed this feat, racking up 304 Premier League games.
Of his 300 Premier League appearances, Salah played 6 for Chelsea and another 294 in a Liverpool shirt, where he became one of the club's modern-day legends.
The evening was even more emotional because this match marked the Anfield farewell not only for Salah, but also for Andrew Robertson. Both players were key figures in one of the club's most successful eras in recent history.
