Manchester United has surged ahead in the race for a potential transfer of Scott McTominay. The Napoli midfielder is seriously considering a return to the Premier League, and the Neapolitan club is well aware of the likelihood of incoming offers.
According to Goal, the player himself, together with his partner Cam Reading, is weighing up a move back to England in 2026. His contract with Napoli runs until 2028, but interest from the Red Devils could intensify as early as the upcoming transfer window.
Let us recall, the 29-year-old Scot made the switch to Naples in the summer of 2024 for £32 million and instantly became a key figure for the team. In his debut season, he helped Napoli clinch the Serie A title and was named the season's MVP. Additionally, McTominay was among the Ballon d'Or nominees and was awarded Italy's Player of the Year.
