The Premier League has unveiled the new fixture list for the upcoming season, and it has emerged that Manchester United could be set to increase ticket prices.

Details: According to the BBC, in the new season, ticket prices for matches could reach as high as £97. Last season, the most expensive tickets were priced at £66. Manchester United is introducing four ticket categories.

One of these categories covers matches against Sunderland and Wolverhampton, while tickets for fixtures against Chelsea will cost £97.

The Manchester United Supporters’ Trust (MUST) has voiced its outrage over the club’s decision to set such high prices.

Quote: “This match classification model will cause huge damage and undermine the stadium atmosphere in a season when the team will need support more than ever,” MUST stated.

Meanwhile, the club’s management insists that increased revenue from ticket sales is a crucial element of a balanced financial strategy.
