The future of Austrian football is coming into sharp focus. Ralf Rangnick and the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB) are engaged in extremely positive negotiations regarding a contract extension.
Details: The current deal with the German specialist is set to expire after the 2026 World Cup, but according to Florian Plettenberg, both parties are aiming for a long-term partnership that will take them through the Euro 2028 cycle as well.
It is reported that the coach’s new salary could reach up to €2 million per year (before taxes). Notably, a significant portion of this amount is expected to be covered by sponsors, who are inspired by the team’s progress under the guidance of the “Professor.”
