Falconets Boost U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualification Hopes with First-Leg Win Over Malawi

Nigeria’s Falconets strengthened their chances of reaching the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after a 2-0 first-leg win against Malawi women's national football team in Ikenne.

After a goalless first half, the hosts found the breakthrough via an own goal before Kindness Ifeanyi sealed the victory with a second.

The Falconets now head into the return leg on May 9 with a solid advantage, while Malawi will aim for a comeback on home soil.
