Faith in talent. Barcelona will renew Bernal's contract this week

Barcelona has been plagued by a series of injuries at the start of the season, and one of the players they have lost is 17-year-old rising talent Marc Bernal. However, the club has shown its strong faith in him.

Details: According to ESPN, Barcelona is set to officially announce a contract extension for Bernal this week on improved terms.

The new deal will be a five-year contract that will significantly increase the young player's release clause. Currently, the buyout clause stands at just €20 million.

Reminder: Marc Bernal tore his cruciate ligaments in a match against Rayo Vallecano, and he is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Yesterday, Barcelona also lost their first-choice goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen for the remainder of the season due to a serious injury.
