Senegal forward Bamba Dieng’s proposed move to Lazio has collapsed after a knee problem was reportedly detected during his medical examination.

The 26-year-old striker travelled to Rome on Wednesday to complete his medical ahead of a free transfer to the Serie A club, with the deal appearing close to completion.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that a medical issue has forced the Serie A side to abandon the deal.

As a result, the agreement has now been called off, bringing an unexpected end to Dieng’s proposed move to Italy. According to several reports, the failed medical is related to a knee problem.
