Max Verstappen will start the Brazil GP from 17th on the grid. The reigning Formula 1 champion was unable to make it into the final qualifying session after Lance Stroll crashed his car, preventing Verstappen from improving his time.

At the end of Q2, Verstappen finished in 12th place. Additionally, the Dutch driver had previously received a five-place grid penalty for an engine change on his car. This means that Max will start the race at Interlagos from 17th position.

Quote. Verstappen was very unhappy with the race director's decision to halt the race after Stroll's crash. "I don't understand why we need to wait 30-40 seconds to resume the race.

But honestly, I have already accepted this attitude. It's just so stupid to say, it's ridiculous!"

Reminder. The race weekend in São Paulo has been quite problematic, with qualifying sessions being postponed multiple times due to bad weather. Currently, the race is scheduled to start at 18:00.
