Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas is enjoying his time off in Australia, where he took part in the Down Under Budgy Beach Shakeout Ride, a gravel cycling event, The Sun reports. The Finnish driver participated wearing nothing but underwear and a helmet!
Recently, Bottas lost his place in the main lineup of Team Kick Sauber and will now serve as a reserve driver for Mercedes. Before the 2025 F1 season kicks off, Bottas decided to unwind with his favorite hobby—cycling.
Before the race began, Bottas humorously asked spectators for sunscreen, bringing smiles to the crowd. He then generously applied the lotion—an essential precaution under the intense Australian summer sun!
Bottas has long been passionate about cycling and has been involved in the sport for years.
Another cycling event is set to take place today in the McLaren Vale region near Adelaide. Participants can choose between two routes, with the event welcoming both seasoned cyclists and newcomers.
The new Formula 1 season is scheduled to start in March 2025.
