The nineteenth Formula 1 Grand Prix took place in Mexico City.

The reigning champion, Max Verstappen (Red Bull), started third, but already on the first lap came out in first place. Until the end of the race, the Dutch driver gave up the lead only once, when he drove to the pit stop before his competitors.

Lewis Hamilton finished second: the legendary British driver had a stable race and was also on the podium.

The winner of qualifying, Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), lost the lead already at the first corner and arrived at the finish third.

In the race, there were five crashes. Already at the first turn after a hard collision, Mexican Sergio Perez ended the race early. There happened a terrible accident in the middle of the race and the struggle was stopped fighting Kevin Magnussen. Because of this, the stewards even had to display a red flag and temporarily stop the race. The next participant to come down was Fernando Alonso - it seems that the pilot of Aston Martin prevented today’s technical problems. Also, Alonso’s partner, Lance Stroll, did not finish the race: the driver after contact with a rival could not reach the finish line. Shortly before the end of the race, Logan Sargeant stopped the fight.

The main disappointment of the evening can be called Yuki Tsunoda: the Japanese claimed seventh place, but after a collision with Oscar Piastri dropped to the bottom of the peloton.

The main progress of the day was Lando Norris. The McLaren driver started from the last position and came to finish fifth.
