Ex-Newcastle leader to leave Saudi Arabia to play for Mourinho's team
Fenerbahçe, now managed by the legendary José Mourinho, is working on a major transfer.
According to Turkish insider Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Fenerbahçe has agreed on personal terms with Al-Ahli forward Allan Saint-Maximin. The French player has already given the "green light" for the transfer and is waiting for the clubs to reach an agreement. This information is also confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.
It is known that José Mourinho has asked the club's management to make Saint-Maximin a priority target for the summer. Mourinho has long admired this player and believes that Saint-Maximin can become a key player for his new team.
Saint-Maximin joined Al-Ahli in the summer of 2023 from Newcastle for €27.2 million. In the past season of the Saudi Pro League, the 27-year-old Frenchman scored 4 goals and provided 9 assists.
Previously, Saint-Maximin also played for Monaco, Nice, Bastia, Hannover, and Saint-Étienne.
