Former Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard is ready to return to top-tier football.

According to Sky Sports, the 31-year-old Englishman has terminated what was referred to as a "complex long-term contract" with his agents, who are now former agents.

It is known that Lingard severed ties with representatives after leaving Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2023. At that time, agents were unable to find a new club for the Englishman, which greatly upset him.

The Englishman, who has been without a club since summer, is currently focused on finding a new team as quickly as possible, and money is not playing a crucial role for him.

In the fall, Lingard trained with Saudi club Al-Ittifaq, but Steven Gerrard's team couldn't sign him due to the limit on foreign players.

During the 2022-2023 Premier League campaign with Nottingham, the midfielder played 17 matches, without registering any goal involvements, but scored two goals and provided two assists in three EFL Cup matches.

He is more widely recognized for his performances with Manchester United from 2011 to 2022. In the "Red Devils," squad he played 232 matches, scoring 35 goals, and providing 21 assists.
