One of the questions posed to Arbeloa was about the importance of the 25-year-old Galácticos winger Vinicius Junior and whether Arbeloa would be able to take him off the pitch if necessary. Arbeloa's response was clear and unambiguous:
"Take him off the pitch? I don't know if that's clear. He will be on the field as long as he's available and performing at his current level. He's a fantastic, exceptional footballer. As Real's coach, if I want to have any chance of winning, I need him. I need Vinicius on the pitch," said Arbeloa.
This season, Vinicius Junior has played 29 matches for Real, scoring 6 goals and providing 8 assists.
After Xabi Alonso's dismissal, fans began blaming Vinicius for the team's slump and the unhealthy atmosphere in the dressing room, which ultimately led to Alonso's departure.
Vinicius' current contract with Real runs until the summer of 2027, and his transfer value is estimated by Transfermarkt at 150 million euros.
