The Africa Cup of Nations trophy is in the streets of Dakar, two days after the victory in Morocco. A triumphant welcome, a sea of people, total jubilation in Senegal. Trophy in hand, the Lions of Teranga travelled by bus with a crowd of enthusiastic supporters who had come out to express their gratitude to their heroes.
The African champions began their colourful parade at Patte d'Oie, then moved on to EMG, Castors, Bourguiba, Senghor and the western Corniche of Dakar, before ending up at the presidential palace where they were received by the President of the Republic.
