Today, May 30, 2024, marks exactly two years since Chelsea changed ownership. American businessman Todd Boehly bought the club from Roman Abramovich.

Experts have calculated that during Boehly's two-year tenure, Chelsea has spent over a billion pounds on the transfer market. The team's roster has changed almost entirely since then.

Under Boehly, Chelsea has already worked with five managers: Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, Bruno Saltor, Frank Lampard, and Mauricio Pochettino. Following the 2023/24 season, Chelsea unexpectedly dismissed Pochettino, despite the team finishing strongly in sixth place under his guidance.

With the new ownership, Chelsea has heavily invested in players under the age of 27. However, this strategy has yet to yield significant results.

Last season, which was Boehly's first, Chelsea finished in 12th place.

It is anticipated that Enzo Maresca from Leicester will become Chelsea's sixth manager during Boehly's reign. The London club has already agreed on compensation with Leicester and has negotiated a five-year contract with the Italian coach.
