Leo puts his national team above club interests.

Details: According to The Touchline, 38-year-old Inter Miami and Argentina captain Lionel Messi has decided to completely revise his training plan at Inter Miami to avoid injuries that could affect his performance at the 2026 World Cup.

It is reported that Leo will now dedicate more time to recovery rather than physical and speed drills. Messi will also have the autonomy to decide when to be on the pitch and when to take a day off.

These measures have been taken by the Argentine star to minimize the risk of missing the World Cup due to injury.

Earlier, Messi stated that the upcoming World Cup will be the last of his career.

Leo has played 196 matches for the Argentina national team, scoring 115 goals. With Argentina, he won the previous World Cup and twice lifted the Copa América trophy.
