Everton Close to Permanent Deal for Chelsea Winger Tyrique George

Everton are closing in on a permanent move for Chelsea winger Tyrique George after his impressive loan spell at Goodison Park during the second half of last season.

According to The Athletic, talks between the two clubs are expected to intensify this week as Everton look to finalize an agreement for the 20-year-old. The Toffees have revived their interest after being impressed by George's performances during his time on Merseyside.

George initially joined Everton on loan for the second half of the 2025/26 campaign with an option to buy worth £25 million. However, the two clubs are now believed to be negotiating a revised deal that would include a lower upfront payment, with additional performance-related add-ons.

The young winger made 11 appearances for Everton during his four-month loan spell, earning one start and showing enough promise to convince the club that he deserves a permanent place in the squad ahead of the new season.
